The challenge:

Capgemini, in partnership with The Drum and SharpEnd, have created Cornershop. Using the latest technologies, they have reimagined shopping experiences for food, drink, and fashion, and offer an experiential space for retailers to test them out.

Originally designed as a B2B showcase, they wanted to open the doors to the public to trade the store in real life, capturing real-world data and consumer feedback.

What we did:

We initially provided a consultancy service to draw on our years of experience operating a range of retail stores and pop-ups. This included working through all elements of the planned store operations to create policies & procedures for a detailed operations manual, as well as managing the EHSS compliance of the site, to ensure the smooth running of Cornershop.

We recruited and trained a team of experts to guide consumers through the range of experiences in-store, and ultimately collect feedback on their experiences to help shape the future development of the technology on show.

“iD have been fantastic to work with from the outset, and been key to getting us to where we are. From the upfront shaping of the requirements, through to getting a great instore tea, through to helping us adapt on the fly, we all really appreciate the work iD have done.”
